Tumble / Cheer Classes

Get the best in tumbling classes at Premier. We offer classes for every age, from preschool to high school, and every level, from the beginner to the elite competitor.

So whether you are a  cheerleader just getting started, you are preparing for college tryouts or you just want to learn how to tumble, Premier can help with the conditioning and skills needed for success. Our classes provide tumbling, jumping, and motion training, with classes and clinics that focus on specific skills, such as back handsprings and back tucks, as well as general skills and instruction in performance technique and choreography.

Premier Athletics has developed a fantastic tumbling class program with the help of some of the best Tumbling coaches in the country.  Our program is designed to teach each athlete everything they need to know to be a great tumbler.  We offer several levels of classes to ensure the best instruction for each class.  We have 8:1 student teacher ratios and class curriculums for each class.

Hot Tots TumblingThe youngest students can get their start with these cheer and gymnastics basics.

This class introduces students to basic gymnastic and cheer terms and skills such as the forward and backward roll, handstand, bridge, cartwheel, round-off, and back handspring drills. Students will learn to perform all these skills and more in synchronization to counts.

Intro to TumblingPrepare your cheerleader for the next level of fitness and agility.

Intro To Tumbling is a great way to learn a strong tumbling foundation. Particpants will successfully master the cartwheel, round off, handstand, and back bend. The athlete will begin skills that will help their bodies develop to be a strong tumbler and cheerleader. The athlete will be able to perform all skills in synchronization to counts.

FUNdamental Tumbling

Introduction to cheerleading tumbling! This class is designed to introduce the basic tumbling fundamentals. Athletes will build core strength and body awareness. Time will be spent focusing on solid foundations on the cartwheel, round off, back/front walkovers, and handstand skills. Each athlete will be introduced to the steps of a back handspring to help prepare them for Tumble 100.

Tumble 100

This class is for students who have a basic knowledge of tumbling. Students participating in this class must have a solid foundation in basic tumbling. Students will successfully master the round-off back handspring and a standing back handspring and a front handspring. Each athlete will gain strenght and power in their tumbling. Students will also begin connecting front tumbling to their round-off back handspring. Students will begin skills that will help their bodies develop into strong tumblers and cheerleaders, performing all skills in synchronization to counts.

Tumble 100 Curriculum

Tumble 200

This class is for students who have a basic knowledge of tumbling. Students participating in this class must already be able to perform a standing back handspring and round-off back handspring with a spot. Students will successfully master the round-off back handspring series and a series of standing back handsprings and a front handspring. Each athlete will begin an introduction to back tucks so they are ready to progress to Tumble 300. Students will also begin connecting front tumbling to their round-off back handspring. Students will begin skills that will help their bodies develop into strong tumblers and cheerleaders, performing all skills in synchronization to counts.

Tumble 300For students who want to go beyond the round off back handspring and standing back handspring

Tumbling 300 is a great way to learn your back tuck. Participants will successfully master the round off backhandspring back tuck, a series of standing back handsprings to back tuck, a round off tuck, and a front tuck. The athlete will begin skills that will help their bodies develop to be a strong tumbler and cheerleader. The athlete will be able to perform skills in synchronization to counts. Class is time is spent focusing on proper training and drills for a back tuck. It is crucial at this point to build strength and jumping ability to successfully master the back tuck. In addition to Tumble 300 athlete's can take Tuck Class to enhance their time in the gym and focus on buidling strength.

Tumble 400For more advanced cheerleaders with solid tumbling skills.

This class is for more advanced cheerleaders with a solid tumbling background. The athlete will successfully master the round off backhandspring layout, a series of standing back handsprings layout, jumps to standing back tuck, and front tumbling passes. The athlete will begint to content front tumbling to round - off backhandspring layout. The athlete will begin advanced combination passes. The athlete will begin skills that will help their bodies develop to be a strong tumbler and cheerleader. The athlete will be able to perfrom all skills in synchronization to counts.

Tumble 500For more advanced cheerleaders with solid tumbling skills.

This class is for more advanced cheerleaders with a solid tumbling background. The athlete will successfully master the round off backhandspring full, a series of standing back handsprings layout/full, jumps to standing back tuck, front tumbling passes and bounding skills. The athlete will begin advanced combination passes. The athlete will begin skills that will help their bodies develop to be a strong tumbler and cheerleader. The athlete will be able to perfrom all skills in synchronization to counts.

Elite Cheer Tumbling

Master new skills at the most elite level of tumbling. This is the perfect class for students who want to take their tumbling skills to a higher level. Participants will succesfully master the round off backhandspring double full, a series of standing backhandpsrings and full, a standing full, and front tumbling and bounding passes. The athlete will gain experience with the most elite level tumbling skilss. The athlete will be able to perform all skills in synchronization to counts.

College Partner Stunting

Learn college stunting techniques and progressions. Coed partner stunting has become a big and exciting part of college cheerleading. This class is designed to introduce students to the basics of partner stunting. Students will work with different partners. The class focuses on proper technique and progression.

Handspring ClassSupplemental Class

Supplemental Class. Handspring Class is designed to be a supplemental class to Tumble 100 or 200. This is also a great class for any cheerleader or hip hop dancer who has almost mastered the skill of the front or back handspring, but needs a little more drill, strength and repetition. It is not recommeded to take Handspring Class as your only form of tumbling training. Premier Atheltics suggests following our progressive class system to ensure proper strength training and progressions.

Tuck ClassSupplemental Class

Tuck Class is designed to be a supplemental class to Tumble 300 or 400. This is also a great class for any cheerleader who has almost mastered the skill of the front or back tuck, but needs a little more drill, strength and repetition. It is not recommeded to take Tuck Class as your only form of tumbling training. Premier Atheltics suggests following our progressive class system to ensure proper strength training and progressions.

Cheer ClassSupplemental Class

The athlete will successfully master motions, jumps, and choreography. The class focuses on teaching proper technique in motions and jumps. This is a great supplemental class if you need more cheer with your tumble.

Flexibility and BalanceAges 5 and up

Flex and Balance Class is designed to up build core strength and flexibility. This class will help cheerleaders with jumps and body positions. It is also great for dancers for body alignment and ankle strength.

Tumble HopAges 6 and up

Tumble Hop is a little bit of hip hop and a little bit of tumbling. Get a taste of the ever so popular hip hop dance style and work on your athletic tumbling skills!

Boys Tumbling 100/200Ages 6 and up

Boys Tumbling is a 100/200 level combination class for boys only. Class is spent focusing on the fundamental tumbling skills to build a strong foundation for tumbling. The class will progress students through a back hand spring.
