Knoxville’s Cale Robinson, representing Premier Athletics, placed 1st on the Floor Exercise and Vault to finish 7th in the all-around of the Junior Division (18 & under) at the 2010 Visa National Gymnastics Championships in Hartford, Connecticut on August 11. He was named to the USA Jr. National Team accomplishments. Importantly, he qualified and competed for the men’s Senior Final that was televised on August 13 by Universal Sports and NBC. This was a great opportunity for him to compete against three 2008 Olympians and the best in the country. Forty-two qualified gymnasts competed in the Senior Final. Qualification was determined by a combined point total from the junior and senior preliminary sessions.

The Visa Championships marked the last competition for Cale with his coach of 10 years, Phil Savage of Premier Athletics. He is the only male gymnast from the state of Tennessee that qualified to compete at the 2010 Visa Championships.
