Knoxville Gymnast signs with Stanford University

Fall 2011 Full Scholarship

West High School senior Pauline Hanset signed with Stanford University for a full gymnastics scholarship on Thursday, November 18th. Pauline verbally committed to Stanford University in August and has waited for this official signing day.  Stanford was the number one choice of this prospective engineering major because of their high academic and athletic achievement.
 
Pauline has had tremendous gymnastics success over the past years training and competing for Premier Athletics on Callahan Drive.  Her coaches are Sasha & Natasha Gridnev and Lea Emery.  Last year she qualified and competed in the inaugural USA Gymnastics Nastia Liukin Cup that was televised live by Universal Sports.  Pauline also has dual citizenship and has competed internationally for her native country of Belgium in the past. She is also fluent in French.
 
Her next major competition will be the Flip Fest Invitational at the Knoxville Convention Center on January 15th.
