His outstanding performance on his first day of competition landed him a 5th place finish in the All-Around competition against the best gymnasts in the country! Cale earned a spot in the Junior National Team and will represent the USA in international competitions!
Cale also qualified to compete in the Finals competition in the Senior Division on Friday, August 13 where he competed against the likes of 2008 Olympians, Jonathan Horton and Kevin Tan, as well as several current collegiate athletes. He finished 12th out of 44 of the best gymnasts in the USA on the Floor Exercise and placed in the top half in the Vault!
Congratulations to Cale, and his long time coach of 10 years, Phil Savage. Cale will be attending Stanford University in the fall on a gymnastics scholarship, and expects even greater acheivements in the sport while competing on the NCAA circuit.

Kaylah Whaley:
Kaylah Whaley competed in the Junior Elite Tumbling division at the 2010 Visa National Gymnastics Championships on Tuesday, August 10. Kaylah placed 2nd in her division which secured a spot for her on the USA Senior National Team! She will be representing the USA in the World Age Group Championships in November, which will be held in Metz, France. Kaylah has participated in other major international competitions in Russia and Canada; however, this will mark her first competition as being part of the USA Senior National Team.
Kaylah has been coached by Eric Thomas for the last 11 years. Being only a Junior, only time will tell what this amazing athlete's full potential really is, and we can't wait to see where it takes her!
