Spyder All-stars Program Information

 Description of the Spyder All-star Program

The squads are strictly competition and performance groups.  The squads’ primary focus is not only to prepare for and compete in national competitions, but to teach athletes self confidence, athleticism,  how to set achievable goals, and sportsmanship.  In addition to national competitions, squads participate in local and regional competitions as well as demonstrations and exhibitions when applicable.  During the year, squads concentrate on all components of cheerleading including tumbling, jumps, motions, pyramids, partner stunts, dance, and showmanship.

All-Star Program History

Premier Athletics of Johnson City has been through many changes over the years since its inception in 1998.  The all-star program started out as the Johnson City Jags, and had a lot of success with numerous regional championships and national championship titles.  In 2009 the program was re-vamped to the J-City Spyders, changing out the team mascot, colors, and overall image.   We are so very proud of our teams and the success they earned, with so many National and Regional titles it's hard to keep count!  We are looking forward to getting our 3rd season under way, and hope to see lots of new faces as our programs builds and grows. It look as if 2011-2012 is going to be another great year, with the ever growing cheer program, and our new Spyder All-Star Dance Program.  So we are so glad to be able to offer the only competitive Dance Program in the Tri-Cities.    GO SPYDERS!!
