Jazz II
For Intermediate Students of Jazz Dance
In addition to history and terminology, students will begin an introduction to intermediate jazz steps, such as chasse, relevee, tondue, plie, grand jete and double pirouette, as well as leaps, splits and more. Students will also work on conditioning skills needed to develop into strong dancers. At the end of the course, students will perform a 2-3-minute routine incorporating their new skills. A ballet background is very important in mastering the jazz style.
