Gymnastics for Girls
Accomplish your goals! Premier's gymnastics programs for girls include all levels of skills and instruction.
Girls ages 6 and up go for cartwheels, handstands, balance beams and fitness! Our Girls’ gymnastics program is divided into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced classes.
The program’s strengths include a strong foundation of basic skills, generation of self-esteem and a fun learning environment. Through skill progressions, each level is designed to safely introduce gymnastics on a levelthat your child will understand. As she progresses, the student will be exposed to skills on all four events of women's gymnastics. Tumbling, balance, strength and flexibility are the primary aspects of all the classes. Students work on balance beam, uneven parallel bars, floor, tumble-track and vault. Conditioning is also a large part of our Girls" Program, so your child will reach new levels of flexibility and strength.
The average student ratio is 6 to 1 and does not exceed 8 to 1.
Beginner Girls’ Gymnastics
This class introduces students to the basic skills of gymnastics. Floor skills taught include rolls, handstands and cartwheels. We emphasize self-confidence and safety as students become familiar with the equipment. The beginner level develops the students’ understanding of gymnastic basics and promotes an environment of fun and safety.
Intermediate Girls Gymnastics
The second level of the girls’ program builds on the skills that are mastered in the previous level. Strength and flexibility are important for building skills on the equipment, which become more demanding of the students’ balance and agility. Skills taught at this level include actual flipping on the floor as well as combined movements on the beam.
Advanced Girls’ Gymnastics
This is the highest level of the girls’ program. At this level, the students are introduced to competition type skills. Students are also exposed to new facets of gymnastics, such as the balance between grace and power. Series tumbling on floor and handsprings on vault are examples of skills taught at this level.
